October 16, 2018The Final Days Of Orlando’s Magical Dining Program Are Upon Us!
If you love food in any way, you’re probably familiar with Orlando’s Magical Dining program. If you’ve never heard of it, here’s the deal: It’s basically a month-long program where restaurants throughout the city offer three-course meals off of a select menu for a set price of $35. A dollar from each purchase goes to a charity that supports Best Buddies and Down Syndrome Association of Central Florida. When you participate in Magical Dining, you’re not only getting some of the city’s best food for cheap, but you’re also supporting a great cause.
Magical Dining Featured Restaurant: Market To Table
As September inches towards October, there are still a few days left to take advantage of the mouth-watering options available at many Magical Dining restaurants. With so many new developments popping up just minutes to the Historic Downtown Winter Garden area like Heritage At Plant Street, it’s common to see locals heading downtown for dinner. Winter Garden’s very own Market To Table is one the program’s participating restaurants, and locals are lining up to some of their favorite healthy options at an unbeatable price.
The Magical Dining menu options at Market To Table includes Gluten Free Fried Calamari or Mozzarella Burrata for appetizers and your choice between Lake Meadows Farm Chicken, Braised Beef Short Ribs, or Portobello and Tomato Napoleon for the main course. Of course, no three-course meal is complete without dessert, and locals are drooling over the gluten-free Raspberry Macaron and the Lavender Creme Brûlée.
With just a few days of Magical Dining left and over 100 participating restaurants to choose from, Winter Garden residents are visiting local favorites like The Melting Pot and Ocean Prime, but also using Magical Dining as an opportunity to try a new place, like The Artisan’s Table in Downtown Orlando or Letterpress in the Lake Buena Vista area.
Magical Dining 101
If you’ve never participated in Magical Dining before, there are a few things you need to know before you go:
- The program ends September 30th, so don’t wait!
- Reservations are encouraged. You can make reservations online or call the restaurant directly. The most popular restaurants fill up quickly during this time.
- The Magical Dining menu is different from the restaurant’s regular menu, so if you’re not given a Magical Dining menu when you arrive, you can request one
- You can’t use any coupons or gift cards towards your Magical Dining meal
- No sharing allowed. Well, you CAN share, but each person has to get their own three-course meal.
Downtown Winter Garden is a smart place to feature Magical Dining restaurants, as it is such a favorite place for Winter Garden families to visit throughout the week and especially on the weekends. Locals can swing by Scoops Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor after dinner (if they have room!) or stroll down Plant Street and The West Orange Trail before their meal.
We’ve only got a few days left of Magical Dining, so check out this list and see how many you can check out before it ends!
