GivingTuesday & Addendum 185

November is the month of gratitude! Just a few days after Thanksgiving, where we focus on all of the things we are thankful for, comes a day dedicated to selflessness and giving to others in our community and worldwide. GivingTuesday is a celebration of generosity and a day where people come together and give to others. There’s no such thing as giving too much or too little… and every person can do it!

The act of giving comes in many forms. Such as acts of kindness through giving money, time, items, and more.

What is GivingTuesday?

GivingTuesday is a movement that began in 2012 and has continued to impact communities worldwide each year. Simply put, it is a day dedicated to encouraging people to do good.

The GivingTuesday network works year-round to achieve their primary goal, to build a world where generosity is part of daily life.

Giving Tuesday has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years. GivingTuesday is an independent nonprofit organization. They have done an excellent job at organizing a platform to help transform communities and the world. What you might not know is Erica is also a co-founder along with Yesseika Acosta of Addendum 185, a nonprofit that provides support and funding to families trying to adopt.

This led her to starting her own nonprofit to help other families have successful adoptions like her and her family. And a few short months ago, Addendum 185 was born.
