Stefan Price, a UCF graduate and Army veteran, is the mastermind behind Makers Hollow, a Makers/Artist Collective that found its home in the enigmatic train depot. Since acquiring the property in 2009, Stefan dreamt of hosting an immersive Halloween event that would bring together the local creator community. His partnership with Nick Comis, a stage magician and theme park lighting specialist, brought their dream to life. On Friday the 13th, 2023, Winter Garden Halloween’s The Killer Carnival will finally come to life.

Meet the Mysterious Characters
Chandra the Fortune Teller
Chandra, the fortune teller, was the matriarch of the carnival, wielding secret magical powers that kept the carnival’s charm alive. Her last wish was to be entombed in a fortune teller machine to ensure her magic would forever be intertwined with the carnival. However, her passing marked the beginning of the carnival’s decline, as ticket sales dwindled, and the carnival fell into disrepair. The carnival members soon discovered that Chandra’s magic resided in her mysterious machine. Each member attempted to harness the power for their own selfish gain, plunging it into darkness.
Spidora: The Living Oddity
Spidora, a peculiar display of a woman’s head attached to a spider’s body, was once a subject of debate among patrons. Was it an unethical taxidermy creation or a shoddy wax figure? After coming into contact with Chandra’s magic, Spidora became undeniably alive in the most unnatural way, a true marvel of the Killer Carnival.

Dolph, a stable boy with dreams of commanding the center ring in a grand circus, had no formal training to communicate with the animals. His wish was to be one with the beasts he longed to control. The magic granted his desire, but it came with a wicked twist. Under a full moon, Dolph transforms into a ravenous wolf, an astonishing but terrifying sight, as long as he remains caged.
Nick the Magician and His Enchanted Rabbit
Nick aspired to be a magician in grand theaters, but life took him to the carnival, introducing acts and performing mediocre magic tricks. Chandra’s magic transformed Nick into a spectacular magician, turning his hack card tricks into daring escapes and mind-reading miracles. He once had a rabbit named Jack, but he mysteriously vanished. When Jack reappeared, he had transformed into a peculiar man-rabbit, attempting to replicate the magic he witnessed, even wielding a chainsaw to cut people in half.

Devlin, a carnival ride mechanic/operator, suffered a horrific accident that disfigured him. Concealing his scars, he continued maintaining the rides behind the scenes to avoid judgment. Deep down, he yearned to make people laugh and smile as a clown, but makeup couldn’t hide his disfigurements. Unable to venture onto the midway, Devlin took a dark turn. He manipulated the funhouse’s mirror maze to lure patrons into his lair, where he could unleash his sick pranks.
